At the sound of the bell sounded by FEC Chairman Patrick Muland, the electoral process was launched. Immediately, the candidate Cyril Mutombo of Kibali Gold, a gold mining company in the province of Ituri, was invited for his speech. "I therefore give in to my elder Bin Nassor and promise to give him my full support." It is with these words that the acting president of the chamber and general manager of Kibali Gold, who is running for the nomination as president of the chamber of mines, gave up his hand in favor of Bin Nassor. Bin Nassor is in the running on behalf of CMOC Group, the parent company of Kisanfu Mining and Tenke Fungurume Mining. Earlier, President Muland invited the two candidates to a consensual negotiation session, behind closed doors, thus triggering Rule 50 of the Rules of Procedure. Consensus would result in a single candidate, who would be confirmed as chair by a show of hands by the members of the FEC Board of Directors.

With modesty and decency, Bin Nassor, elected speaker of the chamber, began by saluting the courage of his challenger, who agreed to give up his hand in his favor. He also promised, as a mark of gratitude, to continue the reforms initiated by his predecessor. He did not fail to recognize Cyril Mutombo's passion for mining, a passion that the two share, moreover. Bin Nassor's election marks TFM's return to the helm of the Chamber of Mines, a position the company held several years ago. His keynote speech presented several points of interest, aimed at making the Chamber of Mines a strong and respected body. Articulated in five points, the action plan of Bin Nassor at the head of the Chamber of Mines promises to improve the general business climate, continue and finalize the reforms initiated by the outgoing president, seek and make available financial and technical means, promote communication and guarantee the safety of mining sites. The election session ended with a family photo and cordial exchanges between the interested parties. And an evening of rejoicing was organized to celebrate the victory and mark a new beginning with dynamism.
